12/06/2013- Cachem is undoubtedly the NAS expert in France, so when FX's schedule next had room for a Thecus® NAS, it was with excitement that readers looked forward to the results. Because for this latest review, Cachem took a close look at the newest 2-bay from Thecus®: the N2310.

Oriented towards home users and offered at a tantalizing price, the Thecus® N2310 offers some great functionality: “Good news! This NAS comes with Plex integrated… and the results are, as expected, very good. In fact, even though the processor is not a high-end chip, it streams (via DLNA) MKV 1080p files with 5.1 sound on my TV without any difficulty!” Oh, and Plex is entirely free!

As a home NAS, the N2310 has a very serious mission: Don't break the bank! In that respect, it is a champion, with a low initial cost and economical power consumption. In fact, when talking about its electricity consumption (and also noise level), here is what Cachem had to say: “On that side, nothing to say: it is exemplary.”

“In the end, if you are looking for a NAS that is not overpriced, offers good performances, and has an OS that holds up… The Thecus N2310 should be considered.”

Thanks to Cachem for the review!
