11/18/2013-The famous Russian IT Magazine IT Expert recently finished testing the Thecus® N2520. While running on a powerful dual-core Intel® Atom processor (1.2 GHz) and 1 GB RAM and with a maximum disc capacity of 8 ТB, like many other media around the world that have tested N2520, IT Expert paid special attention to the pleasant exterior of the device: “It's clear from the first sight of the Thecus N2520 that this network device is designed for the home or small office. It's a very small box made of glossy plastic with rounded corners and won't scare even those very unfamiliar with technology – it looks very nice.”

IT Expert editors stressed that N2520 not only serves as a storage device but also as a media center: “There is an HDMI output on the back side as well as audio output S/PDIF. This means that it's possible to attach a monitor and sound system directly to the Thecus N2520 and play video and sound. This way the network attached storage serves as a media center.”

Finally, IT Expert pointed out the ease of the N2520's setup: “When connected, users can install the proprietary utility ‘Intelligent NAS'. This program is dedicated to NAS administration and the management of data, both without using web browser. The interface is very convenient and extremely easy to understand.”

The full review of the Thecus® N2520 can be found in the October issue of IT Expert, 2013.
