07/26/2013 The editors of the Dutch website Hardware-info were delighted by the Thecus® N2520 and its interesting and unique features.

The HMDI-output is one of these interesting features that make the N2520 so unique and, along with its sleek design, justifies its spot in the living room. This output lets the device work as a media server that can stream media directly to your TV in HD quality.

Thecus® made it very easy for users to set up the NAS. The ease of installation actually starts with the HDDs as there are no screws needed. Simply clip on the rails to the HDDs and slide them in. With these simple steps, it's already done.

Hardware-info's editors took a closer look at the Atom processor, which boasts a Dual Core with 1.2 GHz and is superior to ARM CPUs. It supports hardware video encoding, as well as hardware AES encryption. This comes in handy with encrypted RAIDs for better performance.

The firmware has been highlighted as well as it is using the Fedora core and has been completely developed in-house by Thecus® themselves. The recently launched Thecus® NAS operating system, ThecusOS 6, is similarly renowned for its very accessible user interface.

In summary, the Thecus® N2520 is an ideal device for the living room due to its HDMI output and the hardware is able to guarantee the needed performance to support all tasks for home use.
