02/20/2013 Countinuing its round trip of great review around the world, it was a logic for the N5550 to stop by the Italian media AVR Magazine who recently reviewed another great Thecus® unit, the N5200XXX. Always providing honest and thourough presentation of the most innovative and powerful products on the market, AVR was delighted to look at all the great features of the Thecus® 5-bay NAS from the Vision series. Features like the Intel® Atom™ processor, 2GB of DDR3 RAM which makes the N5550 an high performance compact NAS available at a great value.

“The interface of the web administration is at the top as in its predecessor, the Thecus N5200XXX. From there we can control all the functions of our NAS, among many other features, the one I liked the most is the ability to save the syslog. It is a great resource that is important for those who works on reporting the status and records of their machine. To make things more professional we will be able to send this to a syslog machine outside for a possible monitoring.”

Always professional, AVR Magazine conclude their presentation of the N5550 with a detailed video that show in detailed the design of the unit and explains the many possibilities offer by the NAS and its UI.
