Thecus N4800 NAS05/14/2012– The Thecus® N4800 NAS receives positive assessment by PC User Magazine in Australia. The 4-bay NAS equips a quick Intel® Atom™ CPU with impressive speeds. The N4800 is a part of the Vision Series which is hands-on a true multimedia center.

As PC User Magazine states, “This was the fastest NAS box we tested in the 5GB single file  write, stopping the clock at just 49 seconds.” With the addition of 2GB of DDR3 RAM, performance and efficiency is top-quality.

The 4-bay storage space is sufficient for SMB NAS users. All RAID functions are available, and not only are USB 2.0 present but two USB 3.0 slots are located conveniently on the front for rapid data transfer. Ultimately the N4800 comes standard with HDMI output so displaying data on a TV screen is straightforward.

The Thecus® N4800 truly is a precision NAS unit, PC User Magazine simply saysit supports all the major RAID options and it also carries four USB ports,” storage server consumers can be confident that the N4800 is a faultless 4-bay NAS for SMB use.

In all, PC User Magazine gives the Thecus® N4800 an optimistic rating as it demonstrates itself as the fastest storage server in the 5GB single file write, multiple RAID functions are available, and several ports like USB 2.0, 3.0 and most importantly HDMI output sets this NAS amongst the top in the SMB class.
