“A 4-bay NAS with these specs, weighing in at £180, that's pretty impressive indeed”

12/19/2017- For over 20 years, SPAN has been educating and supplying the global market with the latest digital archives and storage devices. This time Robbie unboxes Thecus' budget friendly entry level 4-bay NAS, N4350.

“We are looking at the N4350. It is their cost-effective 4-bay, and by cost-effective I am really impressed. Weighing in at 180 pounds, give or take the VAT. For a 4-bay with the specs we are going to talk about, it’s quite impressive indeed.”

‘Released this year, it features a Marvel Armada 388 dual-core CPU, that’s a 1.8 gigahertz. It has 1 gigabyte of non-expandable DDR4 memory”. The N4350 can pack up to four HDDs, offering up to 48 TBs of storage space.

“The device arrives with their brand new operating system, ThecusOS™ 7.0. Never underestimate Thecus, their software provides things that the other two brands (Synology, QNAP) don’t go for or already have removed, such as KODI.”

The built-in App centre of ThecusOS 7.0 gives access to hundreds of official and 3rd party apps, offering a host of utilities for users for backup, security, file management, entertainment and cloud services. “You can set this up as a Plex Media Server, so for 180 pounds, there’s your PLEX media sever covered”.

“It’s compact, its metallic, its black and its 180 pounds”.

We would like to thank Rob and the whole team at SPAN TV for the product walkthrough.
