07/29/2016 The PC Magazin is one of the biggest and well established Computer magazines in Germany and has provided its readers with news and reviews about technology trends and hardware for many years. Recently, they checked out the new Thecus N2810.

This NAS was created especially for home users and small offices and is set up easily. “The case of the Thecus N2810 allows the tool-less installation of two 3.5” HDDs. Interesting : Both bays can be locked with a key, so only authorized personnel can remove or change an internal drive.

The features and the speed of this NAS are not to be left out. “The Thecus N2810 is equipped with two Gbit LAN ports that can be combined for redundancy to enhance safeguarding against failure or for higher transfer speed. For reading access we got good transfer rates over 100 MB/s.

The NAS can be customized to your own liking with the new ThecusOS 7.0. “Under a tidy user interface  you can find the App Center which provides numerous enhancements for the NAS.

With its HDMI port the N2810 is also well suited for using in the living room. “The Thecus NAS is equipped with the Intel Celeron N3050 CPU which supports video transcoding up to 4K. With the current firmware version 4K playback of H.264 video over HDMI works flawlessly and without any distracting stuttering.
