03/11/2015-After a long history of testing Thecus NAS based on Linux such as the N4310, N2310 or N2560, the Eteknix team decided to take a look at the new Thecus Windows device, the Thecus W4000. After a thorough test, they awarded the unique device with the “Editor´s choice” award.

The OS is not the only feature that makes this device unique, the NAS also possesses an embedded SSD. “An awesome thing about the W4000 is the 60GB SSD drive for the Operating System, making sure you get the fastest loading times. Connectivity is also covered very well on the W4000 with two USB 2.0, two USB 3.0, eSATA, HDMI, D-Sub VGA, Line-Out and dual Gigabit Ethernet”.

At the end of the article, Eteknix summarizes why this NAS has received the “Editor´s choice” award.  “The Thecus W4000 brings the advantages of Windows Server to SOHO and SMB users. Great performance, easy maintenance, and convenience of Microsoft Cloud features make this an excellent choice.”
