“A NAS-ty beast for the budget-conscious.”
Bookmark and Share

03/02/2015-Most of The Register´s readers are IT professional and that´s because they provide all the technical info a software engineer would need.  To bring the latest news about NAS world, they chose to take a look at the new Thecus N4310.

Price-features NAS

N4310 is a great solution for those who are looking for their first NAS. The N4310 provides a host of features all while providing an affordable storage solution. Although the N4310 is presented as a model for the budget-conscious, it's not short of features by any stretch of the imagination. It has iSCSI support, a selection of backup options and supports mobile apps for iOS and Android. Built-in servers include FTP, iTunes, DLNA Media, Photo, FTP and Print as well Plexmedia and BitTorrent dedicated clients, plus support for Amazon's S3 cloud service to list but a few”.

The Reg Verdict

“If you want a 4-bay NAS for home use and have bit of a budget squeeze going on, then the Thecus N4310 is a good place to start. It performs better and has a whole lot more features installed than you might think looking at the price tag and even offers power redundancy.”

Thanks to Simon Crisp and the rest of the team at The Register for the review.
