“A feather-weight champion in its class”

07/16/2014-In beginning its review of the N2310, eTeknix touched on the burgeoning SOHO NAS market and the need for user-friendly devices for entry-level users while keeping in mind the need for a low price point. Let's see where the N2310 stacked up.

What You Get

The compact 2-bay N2310 sports an array of features ideal for the home user. Running on the Thecus OS6 platform, users have access to a “vast number of software features.” Also included are the Intelligent NAS desktop support utility and highly versatile T-OnTheGo mobile application. To top it off, the device is also by no means invasive: “The small footprint that is given makes the system easy to position on a desk or next to a router and out-of-the-way.”

What You Give

So what does it all boil down to? “Ultimately the performance for the price is where we will be most interested.” This happens to be where the N2310 excels. At a fraction of the price of many 2-bay NAS units on the market today, the N2310 provides “respectable performance” that is “surprisingly stronger than expected.”

  • Super-low price point for the consumer needs of the market
  • Respectable performance figures
  • Low power consumption
  • Multitude of software features

Thank you to Chris Hadley and the guys at eTeknix for the review.
