A home media NAS for the space-conscious environments
Bookmark and Share

02/19/2014-Featured in this month's edition of HWM is the home and small office-targeted Thecus N4560. Finding the perfect balance between the multimedia needs of home users and the productivity features required by those at work, the N4560 was in the zone and ready for podium placement.

Big on storage and talent

With a note on NAS development (“NAS devices today are powered to rival earlier PCs”), HWM dives into detailing the N4560's specs and features:

“…remote mobile access, built-in display, and multimedia playback capabilities… an Intel Atom CE5335 1.6GHz processor with 2GB of DDR3 RAM… two USB ports, a gigabit Ethernet port, a SPDIF port, HDMI port… Active Directory support, LDAP support, iSCSI (target) SNMP, NAS stacking, TFTP server, ISO mount, and NFS share.”

So after putting the N4560 through their testing regime, HWM concluded their review with the following words about this adroit little apparatus:

“The Thecus N4560 is definitely worth a look for those who are looking for a high-capacity NAS device that not only serves as a great addition to a home with its multimedia playback capabilities, but also serves as a powerful tool in a small office environment with its many mobile and office-friendly features.”

Thanks to Azizul and the rest of the HWM team for the review!
